Lot of MW haters in here....jeez
I started on a 600...and I've never taken a trip in the meat wagon thank you very much![]()
yea there are.
it's amazing we never (seriously) say that the lightweight guys don't have the balls, cash flow, or skill to ride middleweight, yet they bash the mw guys like they have an ego problem and rely on the bikes power, not riding ability. BOGUS.
It's what you want to have fun on... I haven't crashed out of a race yet, showed up to the track with 0 track days, and got my license. dropped into the 18's in my first season, and got into some white plates my 2nd season. You guys should realize that you're not rossi because you're running at the top of the little bikes, and there's few of you guys who would pick up a 600 and run in the top of that class. they are 2 different animals, with 2 different sets of pros and cons. It takes a natural ability for somebody to jump on any bike and be the best.
I do agree with their argument....I mean, I've cartwheeled out of most corners at NHMS and it was definitely a STEEP and expensive learning curve. But it has also been some of the most fun and rewarding times of my life
Either way, racing is racing and its always fun....but the MW class isn't THAT bad.
and some of us fight to survive because we don't have the natural ability that is appears you do.. thus we try to steer people in the direction that teaches us best or we think teaches us best.. i am starting on a 600 and have had a hell of a time.. i am hoping though $$ has become tight to beable to switch to a LW so i can learn better..

You'll find that the only people hating on the MW class are the ones not riding in it[/QUOTE]
that statement is actually more accurate of the LW 'haters'... at least some of those MW 'haters' have actually raced in MW.

All I'm saying is that if you're going to race the MW class, you had better get yourself a good crew cheif!
Agreed. I get the same jollies in LWSM, LWSS, PTWINS, LWSB and ULSB, Thunderbikes, Supertwins... That you do in the MW classes.
I don't think it takes any difference in ability either. Just a different mind set and different markers.
Well that and you have to be a little friggin nuts!![]()
