93 on a Ducati has added the missing piece with MotoGP this year makes watching it edge of your seat exciting. 15 more to go! If Joe Roberts keeps this up, he will be on a Track House bike next year.
MotoGP silly season is in full effect - Emmett breaks it all down

Aleix done at the end of the season. He’s done well for Aprilia, great racer.
Another great weekend. All three classes had good racing. Bummed for Acosta but he had a great come back. MM another magic weekend. Just needs to figure out qualifying and then he is fighting for the win. The Beast had quite the melt down. Wonder what that will bring next weekend.
EBas explains why he ignored the penalties - https://us.motorsport.com/motogp/new...ders/10616111/
Cliffs: He expected the stewards to give Alex a penalty & relinquish the spot for running him wide... instead he got a long lap penalty himself for not losing a second while going through that area. He disagreed with the initial call and ignored it, was given a second long lap for ignoring it which he also ignored, which turned into a ride-through which he, of course, also ignored. After the race he was assessed a 32 second penalty which sent him from 9th to 18th. Ducati allegedly agreed with his decision to ignore the penalty.
I'd be surprised if we see any further action from the stewards.

Big move at the start, big move at the very end, snoozer otherwise.
Looks like Marc will get the factory ducati seat. Martin is going to Aprilia next year. I think could add more spice to this year's racing.
Part of my work involves looking at data, that's interesting to me, so some numbers from Mugello. Turns out I like numbers but would rather stick a hot needle in my eye than figure out how to post a table in a forum. A picture then....
The bikes were not hitting a higher top speed (227mph is pretty fast though) but they are lapping faster and finishing the race much quicker. Honda and Yamaha improved their race times but ended up in much worse finishing positions because everyone is getting faster

So how we have two prime seats open at Pramac and Gresini who get these? Thought Enea would get the Pramac ride but how he's headed to KTM. seems way to early for all this, still have over a half year to go. wonder how this will affect races going forward?
It's official for Marc. He is on the factory ducati team for two years. I can't believe we have to wait another 2.5 weeks to get some more racing. I feel it's going to be wild for the rest of the year.
I think Ducati knows that Marc is going to improve his qualifying and win races next year on a Ducati and could possibly win the championship much like the current state of the championship is going to a satellite team. They don't want that. Personally I enjoy the drama and hope that Marc wins a championship and receives the accolades that he so desperately wants. He has been the villain to Rossi fans that cry foul by his aggressive riding style. Um ya the same style that Rossi dished out. Look I have a Rossi helmet. I drank the Kool-Aid. I still believe that if MM came up right now rather than in the end of the Rossi era he would be welcomed for his radical style.
Bring it on.
Send cash... I need a track day
My unsung rider award goes to Fabio Giannantonio. Lots of hate for this guy last year (fighting for his job) and doing a very well on the older Ducati. Pramac and a gp25 awaits.
Runner up goes to Franco Morbidelli hurt to start the season and has shone good speed for late. He stays with Pramac.
I saw this coming. It’s weird logic, but Ducati motoGP is a business. Marc brings in more popularity than Jorge. Jorge has been disruptive for the past 2 years crying publicly, about this factory seat. You want that drama in the team? It’s bad drama. Marc brings good, exciting drama.
But really, I saw this coming when watching the embraces between Daligna and Marc vs Daligna and Jorge. Also, remember that Marc has said multiple times of the season he “has a plan.” That diabolical MFer.
I’m really enjoying being a MM fan right now.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
I love watching Marc race. He always brings it. Never seen him just give up like some other riders have. I do think it was a bad decision by Ducati. Not as suspect as Ferrari signing Lewis Hamilton for two years but still not their best choice. They should have kept Enea. They had a good thing going with a pretty clear #1 and #2 rider. Now with Marc coming over I foresee some real dicey racing between the Ducati pair. Marc no longer has to be nice since he has the job.
As a fan and spectator this is probably the best thing they could have done. As long as everyone stays healthy it's going to be something to see.
So here we are 1/3 of the way through this season. The silly season has gone mad. People already swapping bikes and manufacturers. What kind of craziness is this going to bring to the series this year when a lot of the front runners are not going to be where they are now, next season. Martin to Aprilia, Enea and Maverick to KTM. I feel the biggest lower here is Pecco. He is pretty much on his this year to win. Not only will he have to continue to battle Martin but now his teammate is probably going to give him no quarter now. I know if I were heading somewhere else next season all I'd care about for the rest of the season is best finishes possible. If I had to rough up my current teammate to do that then so be it. I also believe Marc doesn't care either. He wants to show he can win on his Ducati. I am pumped for when this all picks up again.
Biggest silly season surprise so far for me is Mav leaving Factory Aprilia for a satellite KTM. Def didn't see that one coming... the rest I wasn't too terribly surprised about. Had heard/read rumors about & was like "Yeah, I can see that making some sense".
I'm sure there were many reasons but I'm wondering if a big one is that he didn't want to play second fiddle to Martin?

Going to be wild. I think this all plays into the hands of Marc & Pecco for 2025 - the ones staying on the same machinery. 2026 could be fireworks.
I REALLY hope all the machines are competetive in 2027. Rules shake-up typically has 1-2 mfgs way ahead.
