Dominant weekend for Marc for sure, he was in complete control. If he runs 7 or 8 weekends like this and runs pretty well otherwise and stays on the bike, he’ll be a lock.
It’ll be interesting to see if he’s physically up to a 22 event season given his injury history.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
keeps going like this weekend and i'll be out by week 7..... did not find that compelling at all, "Gee, WHEN will he blow by his brother and ride off?" whenever he wants, apparently.
and something seemed "different" with the coverage of the actual race as well, anyone notice a "difference"??
No Simon![]()

Yyyyyep. His insider technical knowledge & close relationships and mutual trust with the teams really added so much incredible detail to the race coverage... it really felt like it was clear to everyone in the paddock that his priorities were trust first, and then truth & transparency, not "leak everything for the sake of sensationalism" which makes the people he's talking to shut down. It's gonna feel flat for a while until someone can really get up to speed, build that trust with the garages and fill the hole in coverage that he left.

Poop. My "dealer" is out.
If anybody's open to sharing a motogp.com login in exchange for an Andrew Jackson each season, shoot me a PM.

Ya that was disappointing. I say give him a few weeks. Not many people go up a class and get results right away.Thailand by all accounts was pretty nasty for heat. It could have been a fitness issue. If he doesn't seem to make any progress by Spain at the end of April then maybe it is time to sound the alarm.
Now Ogura on the other hand. That was a fun surprise. Hope he can keep that up. We are going to need some sort of entertainment this year if all the post race commentary Ive seen is true. I guess at least Marc keeps it interesting when he is winning unlike what we had with Lorenzo and the 800cc bikes.
loved the Gulf livery on the Trackhouse bikes but guess it only going to be used for one more race. Mark on the best bike is sure going to make everyone step up their game or it's over. He stays on two wheels and he's at the front every race.
Pirelli to take over from Michelin starting in 2027......

Argentina is MMs track. Think he won 5-6 times there. Wrist injuries are a tough one. Martin season is over for the most part.
Man. No respect for Pecco in this thread.

Pecco is awesome way too early to write him off, long season and a lot can and will happen. Will see how he responds this weekend. His Teammate his year is not playing second fiddle something new for him to deal with.
I wouldnt call it lack of respect. He has two championships and almost a third one so he has been doing something right. I like watching him ride and seeing his interviews. I think he has more championship runs in him. I don't see him beating Marc as long as Marc stays upright. After this most recent practice he is over .1 up on the closest guy.
We are in a spot we were a few years ago. Only person that will beat Marc is Marc. I read some article that analyzed the Thai gp. Said if Marc didn't have tire pressure issues he was on pace to win by 10 seconds. This is on a bike that was built for Pecco. In practice today I think it was Luthi in the boot talking. Near the end of the session he was commenting on how smooth Marc looks on the bike compared to what he used to do on the Honda when he was winning. I don't see that as a good sign for anyone else out there. If he really needs to push the times will be crazy fast.
For Pecco the best thing he can do is just hang on as close as possible until he can figure out what Marc is doing different. Hopefully he can do that sooner then later. Last thing I want to see is him go backwards in his mind. I also don't want to see the stupid shit Rossi did to the Yamaha garage with Lorenzo. That wall bs was so childish. Not saying Pecco would do that and I dont think Marc would. Just with Rossi sniffing around who knows what can happen.
Sprint 2PM on FS1
Not the most exciting race again. Nice to see Zarco up there. Honda is making some nice progress. Yamaha seems to be moving a bit forward too but I'm not sure if that is because KTM has really fallen off the face of the planet. What a nightmare for them. Hopefully Pecco can figure out what he needs for changes and can battle Marc in the near future.
So far, it's a repeat of the last race!
How about no respect for AlexPecco gonna need to get by him to get a chance at Mark, and so far he seems a "solid" 2nd in both directions, hanging with 1st but keeping 3rd far enough back.
I'm sure depending on perspective these 2 weeks could be described as either textbook or BORING.....
Zarco was up in the mix. At one point I thought he might run down Pecco, but that didn't happen. While from a racing perspective, it was boring, I think what we are watching will be one of the greatest comebacks in the sport. Marc's story is unbelievable, and to see him dominate again is just superhero stuff. Love him or hate him, you HAVE to admire what he's doing.
Yeah, you put the best rider on the best bike and this is what happens. On the Honda he pushed beyond what the bike was capable of - remember all those front end slides he used to save? - in order to win. Now on the Ducati he doesn't have to push so hard to get to the front and control the race.
They say the Honda and Yamaha have rear grip issues. I wonder if that's the frame and weight distribution or the ride height device - maybe their's is not as good as the Ducati's? Or maybe a mix of both
Best rider Best bike! Going to a track he likes a lot! Crazy good!
At least it looked like it was more of a race for the win. Alex looked good again. Marc looked like he had to ride pretty hard to get around him. Some nice battles throughout the field. Nice for Zarco on the Honda. Looks like he is their man this year. Ogura was also impressive again. I like seeing a rookie ride well. Another nightmare for KTM. I guess that is what happens with all the turmoil they are going through as a business. Really hoping Martin comes back 100% and can challenge for at least podiums.
