Bars should be a cash cow yet fail all the time. Shit management can ruin lots of good products, just like good management can carry shitty ones far.
A direct Rivian example is how they handled the price increase and quick walk back when people bitched. They're still a relatively new company that doesn't have the luxury to absorb such things. It was a good call to raise prices to keep up with the "supply chain" bs, but it was stupid as fuck to walk it back. They would have lost some people for sure, but still easily could have sold every single vehicle they produced last year at a more realistic price and still have had people lined up and waiting.
That's one take away. Another is this
Early in 2022, it cut its production forecast for the year to 25,000, from 50,000.

It will take electric NASCAR racing for the general public to accept electric vehicles

EV's have no problem with being accepted by the public
EV's won't ever work for some people but no one car works for everybody some buy did diesel trucks, others buy luxury cars, performance super cars, motorcycles etc.The United States has now crossed 6% in total EV market share, working toward its goal of a 50% share by 2030.
There are still people in Alabama that won't ever buy "Jap crap" or "Korean junk" even though they are the market dominant forces for vehicle sales and very well "accepted by general public"
So no, no need for Electric Nascar races...
Right now, demand for EV’s exceeds supply. Per the WSJ article above, that should change some time in 2023, but personally 2024 wouldn’t surprise me.
One of the commentators on Tesla states the EV manufacturers have been valued as technology companies (where cost of goods sold after development is very low) but will revert to the valuations of other vehicle manufacturers.

“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
they would have to make the batteries easily removable...jack up the car and swap underneath to keep the center of gravity low or maybe swap just the whole undercarriage (similar to a canoo ev platform) or the whole car while the other car charges...only race in the dry weather since a crash resulting in a cracked battery housings and water + lithium would probably kill the drivers pretty quickly and ruin the track...and there would be no loud engine noises so they would have to add large speakers to the cars or the hearing protection companies would take a huge hit![]()
They have it backwards. Vehicle manufactures will need to rise and meet the EV demand or be stuck with "we just make cars" valuations. We're past the early adopters stage and are at the beginning of the early majority stage. In 5 more years, we're going to have a "why don't you have an EV yet" thread.
How they figure it out is on them.
EVs are coming. In every day, in trucking, in Motorsports. There’s no denying it any more.
Have any of you watched the Formula E racing https://www.fiaformulae.com/en though in some ways the racing is very good the gamification of the racing with boost zones and things like that are a little bit of a turn off to some.

You can't put an EV in a NASCAR race. Apples and oranges.
Yes, the Nascar boys will sit down in their sheds and develop more efficient semiconductors technologies and batteries.
After a decade of building new semiconductor fabs for research at a cost of billions of dollars for each team, and then another decade of developing new microchips and battery technologies they will finally implement them into a race that no southern hillbilly will watch as electric cars are bad at exactly the few things that attracts people to Nascar, high speed, noise and longevity.
Yep yep. Sounds about right.
Forget the Electric Formula race series. It's going to be the Nascar that revolutionizes everything

is the anti NASCAR vibe another form of racism and prejudice?

More snobbish for me. The "tech" in Nascar is archaic and far from the days of race on Sunday, sell on Monday. The handholding and censoring of drivers is bs as well. Part of the show was the aggression and pummeling those guys used to dish out. Now they get fined and pee pee slapped for going off script.
NASCAR came from running shine and always had that kind of outlaw mentality. Now its all about image, the numbers and is more of a rigged show, instead of a real race, which is boring as fuck.
V8 Supercar is where Nascar should be now before it was dumbed down for the masses.

electric cars still make tire noise, tire noise, is probably the loudest noise that most ICE cars make as well. in reality, electric cars will not be any quieter on the highway
