The Frontier from that era is a solid truck. It was always behind the competition in terms of power and features, but solid.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
Everything I read and watch say the frontier sold today us the best truck to get. I think it's non turbo motor has a lot to do with it
that was one thing I likes about it, no turbo, no "fuel management" condition & milage tells me it was a commuter truck, kept in a garage, washed regular, locking tailgate & tonneau cover bed liner on it's short bed, residue of grass clippings from actually being used, gonna need winter tires4
my short test drive, had a lot of zip 0-60 before I knew it

The MassDEP announced today that they will be delaying the implementation of the Heavy-Duty Omnibus (HDO) regulation until Model Year 2026, while the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation will remain in effect with some minor changes. I proudly support the delay in implementation of HDO regulations and the use of limited enforcement discretion on ACT regulations, as this will give Massachusetts more time to reach the infrastructural demands needed and allow the state to ensure production numbers of compliant engines are adequate enough to support the demands of this regulation. We will continue to monitor this throughout the next year as more developments are made towards the planned 2026 implementation of Heavy-Duty Omnibus regulations.
At least they realized how unrealistic that shit is.
If you don’t set goals, you never make step towards achieving them, and they perpetually remain “unrealistic “.
Camper wasn't towing well, so I bought a weight distributing hitch and installed it last night, everything seems to sit a lot better.

Yes. They’rea really good solution. And you don’t have to permanently deal with Stiff(er) springs in the truck
So it looks like my picking up a gladiator this week. Something must have happened at jeep corporate this weekend because I was flooded with offers from multiple dealers this morning with higher discounts that aren't listed. $20k off sticker is common place now and that's my time to bite. I'm between a Mojave and nighthawk edition. Mojave sticker is $72k and discounts bring it down to $50k and the nighthawk is sticking at $57k and I can get it for $35k. Probably gonna grab the nighthawk since the Mojave is way overkill for us.
It was idiotic, unorganized, not well thought at all, def unrealistic to deploy and an implement it in the time frame expected. Anyone with the most basic understanding of economics would have known that. Unfortunately our elected officials didn’t. And based on some of the comments I saw here and on fb, those who vote don’t either. Which is why we ended up here. Fortunately it was postponed.
To add. We need common sense. Push green initiatives. Give encouragement. But leave some industries alone. Or give more flexibility.
Yea, industry left to its own devices will totally work. That’s why we’re in the situation we are. Kicking the can for decades.

Mr contrarian would be here complaining that it’s just half measures and blah blah blah.
What model is he looking for? I think capital jeep in CT has a good offer on the Mojave.
A jeep dealership in Bowie MD has the best prices on the East Coast right now if he is just looking for options.
Individual dealers are offering there own discounts to buy only if you go in. They just want to sell these things so they offer discounts right away.
Tip for him before he really start shopping, make sure there isn't a stop sale order on it before he wastes his time. There is no fix and they don't know when a fix is coming so most likely jeep will need to buy back all those stop sale units at some point.
What stop sale order are you referring to? At the moment the only big recall I know of is yet another 4XE Wrangler battery one, no charging, no parking in / near structures, awaiting a software update to flag potentially bad batt packs. There isn't an associated stop sale order on those units that I know of, and there's no such thing as a 4XE Gladiator?
Someone told me yesterday Jeep is going to start offering the 3.6L wrangler as a manual transmission only…. Which seems bizarre if true..
Your park avenue leads to..
All remaining 2023 and a growing number of 2024 have received a stop sale order last week. Its to do with the instrument cluster blinking off and not turning back on so you lose all info. Letters went out the 17th to owners saying they can't fix it and no fix is planned in the short term.
4xe wrangler can't be sold at most dealerships now. They just sit.
Mcgee in Vermont has several 2023 loaded rubicons they can't sell due to the stop sale. MSRP was 70k on two of them. Just before they yanked them off the lot I was offered either one for 43k. I had put a deposit down on a 2024 last week but got my money back when the stop sale order crept up to the 2024 models built early in the year.
FWIW I don’t disagree with you in terms of we need to do something. But this ain’t it. Almost every approach I have seen towards green energy is wrong (when it comes to vehicles at least!
Why you think the exception is for gov vehicles? Cause they know the value of this equipment and how unrealistic it is for places in NE to go fully electric.
