I guess we will see. Marc rode smart. I expect the same tomorrow. Only has to finish second if his brother is winner which doesnt look good for Alex. Martin is out again. Broken collarbone. Was a scary crash but looked to be 100% his fault. Was way out of control. Think he tries to leave Aprillia again? Hoping for a fun race tomorrow.

    Re: MotoGP Discussion (SPOILERS!)

Martin is done for the year! Totally his fault, Now he Needs to get healthy maybe back for the last round. The Bezz (glad he is ok one nasty crash) is riding great of late, so Martin can't blame the bike! He stays and gets paid. No seats open that will be better anyway. Marc was catching Pecco at the end not sure if that was all Marc or Pecco was play it safe?
    Should be interesting Sunday.

Congratulations to MM What else is there to say! Got to respect the comeback and total dominance this year. Pecco rode great and had the field covered. Bike almost let him down glad it didn't. Mir also nice weekend for Honda. And the Bezz bounce back was good to see.

MM is something we never thought we d see in real life. More impressive that he did 7 with almost half Rossis races and countless injuries. 108 crashes is a lot too. Dude was either podium or on the way to hospital for his entire career.

Congrats to MM.. As a past hater I was super glad to see him bring this home and close this circle. The cool down lap ceremony was pretty touching. It was very cool to have his bike micd up and hear his emotion.

How about a shout out to Joan Mir.. He was on it !!!

Moto 3 was again a great race too.

    Re: MotoGP Discussion (SPOILERS!)

Yeah, I've shat on Marc plenty, but that teared me up. Forgot what he really went through and the fire that must be inside him. Also...I can't believe I've been watching this long. I think my first season truly into it was the season or two before Marc. This is his 13th season in the premier class. Its been 5 years since he last won the title.
I would love to see him go back to Honda or give it a go at KTM or Aprilia, but I know its a pipe dream. This might be the one thing Rossi has over him (his swap to Yamaha and immediate win).

Rumor is that it was the 2024 ride height device that was Pecco's secret weapon. Pecco himself has said he's mad it wasn't done sooner. Ducati will never tell us, but would like to see some more journalists confirm this. Gigi's brilliance is also sometimes his flaw.
Pecco also needs to back it up with another good result before I'm a true believer. Motegi is a different track, and its tough to rule the track as the main contributor to Pecco's and Mir's success. It just isn't a high corner speed track and so much braking is straight up and down, the real aliens make it up on corner entry and that is a bit negated at Motegi.

Really sucks for Martin - but I'm just glad Marco (and the rest of the field) came away relatively unscathed. That was a real scary one.

Does the bridge at Motegi freak anyone else the fuck out? Its one of those things that will be fine if you crash where you're likely too, but one of those freak crashes and you're dead.

Sprint was entertaining. Bezz really rode that bike well. MM did well. Might have had a shot at a podium if he didnt get that long lap. Was Pecco riding a moto3 bike in Ducati bodywork? That was a terrible showing. He needs a new bike and I don't mean a new Ducati. 30 seconds behind the winner.

Pecco. The total head case, how can you go from total domination to completely lost in the matter of seven days?

Sprint & race, really entertaining / lot of action, beautiful track.

I don't really follow moto2/3, so this has been my first real exposure to Aldeguer, been impressive all season, even when being outshined by Ogura early in the season. Last few rounds seemed to really be finding something at the end of races and while I realize the fast guys were out, that was crazy impressive the way he pulled away.

I think he has not only mentally torpedoed his own season, but now he is dragging Ducati down with him. Time to drop him like a hot potato Ducati.

That late crash looked a bit suspicious from my couch.. Lol.

The race was pretty dang good. Really good dicing from 2-10. Fun to watch. Great to see some different names up front too.

I do have to object to the foolish ski jump into the gravel traps.. I thought there were specific regulations on how high the gravel was supposed to be in relation to the pavement? Simple slides turned into cartwheels. Broken bikes and broken bones.. It was kind of shocking.

THey didn't put the translation of teh post race chat up, but Alex said there was virtually no way not to get hurt with those gravel traps.

Yeah I saw his hand gestures when they replayed the MM/MB incident... The way Marc got tossed around like that when he reached the gravel was pretty shocking. I'm not terribly surprised at all that he got injured. Sucks.

It does feel like Pecco is screwing with Ducati at this point. See what happens the next two races as MM is on the shelf for those. He now becomes the lead rider will be interesting to see his attitude going forward.

Lap 21, in its entirety, from MB’s front camera right on the tail of PACO might have been the best footage all season.

    Re: MotoGP Discussion (SPOILERS!)

I'm not sure how Pacco pulled it back to the apex on Doohan corner at the end of that lap.. These guys have some special sauce for sure..

Overall an interesting race. I feel bad for Jack.. Heartbreak for him.

FQ20 pulled some unicorn dust out of his ass and found the pole. Didn't help him much but it was quite a show for him

Poor Francis is lost.. Tinfoil hat wonders if they put a wack swingarm and forks with two different wall thicknesses on that bad larry.

Nice to see the Track House team on top..

    Re: MotoGP Discussion (SPOILERS!)

Marquez to sit out rest of 2025 MotoGP season after injury
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other...0063dc43&ei=88
Marc Marquez will skip the remainder of the 2025 MotoGP season to recover from the shoulder injury he sustained in Indonesia at the start of the month, Ducati has announced.

The decision was made after Marquez underwent further checks at Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, where doctors Raul Barco, Samuel Antuna and Ignacio Roger ruled out the possibility of an early comeback before the end of the year.

Although his recovery is “positive” and “proceeding normally”, Marquez will be required to spend four weeks with his arm completely immobilised before he can begin rehabilitation.

This makes it impossible for him to take part in the remaining two rounds in Portugal and Valencia, as well as the post-season test in Spain.

The newly-crowned seven-time MotoGP champion had already been ruled out of the Australian and Malaysian events, with Ducati test rider Michele Pirro stepping in as his stand-in.

Marquez’s replacement for the final double header will be announced in due course.

"Analysing the entire situation, we believe that the most appropriate, clever and consistent course of action is to respect the biological timing of the injury, even if that means I will no longer be able to race this season or attend the testing session,” said the Spaniard........

Marquez broke his right shoulder after being hit by Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi at the start of the Indonesian GP.

While no surgery was originally planned, he did end up getting an operation on his broken shoulder in Spain last week after “coracoid fracture and ligament damage were not showing sufficient signs of stabilisation after a week of being immobilised.”
