1) I am 100% with you on this one. I have suggested this very same thing on several occasions, and I think that we are inching towards getting it done for next year.
2) ....maybe that's what it's for, maybe not. I use practice to work on specific things, not always to put in a killer overall lap. The problem is that running the timing and scoring system takes several people - who are not there on Friday. I'll look into what can be easily done.
3) I would pose that to Steve Aspland. There are so few of those 125's I'm surprised that it's any real trouble at all. A 125 GP should be able to go faster than an EX500 any day of the week (fast guys do 1:15 - 1:16). Waves are set up by what the bike is supposed to be able to do.....
4) OK.....I'll pass the wishes of the BJ clan on to the powers that be.
an issue a few of my garage mates mentioned is the fact that registration closes at 8:00, but tech closes at 7:30 on fridays. wouldnt it make sense to have tech open after registration? maybe swap the closing times on those two?

I honestly have not looked at the insurance thing.....that's a question for someone with more expertise in that field.
As for swapping registration and tech times....that certainly makes sense to me.

I bet you could set something up pretty easily out back in the NASCAR parking areas... problem being a lack of facilities and maybe insurance, since the areas out back aren't part of the "track"?

What I heard too. This year the day was a full one, but I think the enduro would have maintained a larger LRRS crowd, and possibly spurred more LRRS/CCS entries (hawks, EXs, etc.) in the enduro itself. Not that it wasn't hard enough keeping track of 7 bikes and 28ish riders without the jumbotron going.....

This is a small one but I think of it every weekend. Could we get a heads up on the track conditions or start time BEFORE 8:00?
Running in group one we could be on track, clock running run at 8:00 one day then an hour delay(fog) then 8:05 next time. Sometimes we do get a heads up, which is nice but not always. Its just kind of confusing/frustrating.
At least next year I should have a 15 min heads up.

The fog was kind of obvious.
There have been time when the corner workers found something on the track and had to clean it up(Thank you corner worker!). It would just be nice if we could get a "so far the track looks good looks like we'll be on at 8:00" or "corner worker need some time looks like 8:10" I know its only 10minutes and not a big deal but it would be nice.
I've had my helmet on and had to take it off and sit for a while(not a big deal) and other times waited to get the call and the clock was already running, losing a lap or two.
I read this and feel like a cry baby but it would be so easy to change and it is the only thing I think of every weekend.
That's why a lot of us bring scanners to listen to the corner worker chatter, helps eliminate a ton of confusion.
It all starts with getting the PA system working properly. Im lucky to be in a garage not far from the starter so I can run out and see whats going on but I shouldnt have to. It seems when its important the message never comes through and when its not its deafening.
I am convinced the entire issue with the PA system has to do with that blasted wireless microphone.
We tried using it at our final track day and did not get very good results. Ended up doing it the old fashioned way with the Tech Garage mic.
Thanks Eric, for all your work on LRRS.
As for the PA, Eric said on the first page it was being addressed so I didn't mention it or any of the other good things that were brought up.
I pit next to Eric and end up trying to listen to his scanner. Maybe its time I buy my own...I'll look to see if there's a thread about which ones people like. If there isn't one I'll start a new thread in "pit".
It looks like there will be a rules meeting held at the banquet, and there i spossibly going to be a forum of sorts for riders to make suggestions. I've been making notes about many of the things in this thread, and I am happy to bring up anything else that is suggested here as well.
So, keep the comments flowing.....
this might be a stretch, but is there anyway to add some Access Points in the garages for the Media Center WiFi ?
cell signal for AT&T and some non Sprint phones isn't the best at the track & many of us use the mobile app to check lap times, results, and grids.
