Can someone help explain to me what a vehicle being bulletproof accomplishes?
Besides adding a lot of weight...

300 series austenitic stainless is prone to work hardening and fatigue failure. Wonder if there will be any symptoms of that as they get older...
The DeLorian never stayed running long enough for fatigue to occur.

One of those clips talks about firing an ice ball at the window at like 60mph, with the reviewer sitting in it. Sounds pretty strong.
Lack of deformation would be welcomed as it maintains a shape you know how to defeat, in theory. Extrication always becomes more challenging when you have parts that you use for leverage that have been compromised. That's part of my problem with training past the basic level with cars that are intact. You need to have a few tactics in mind to accomplish each goal. You can't roll a dash using a ram on the a piller and base of the b piller if one of them isn't there and etc. But that's the fun right? Cutting up a car that is completely intact should be the easiest thing you do.

Also, I don't think the stainless skin will hurt and may help. Aluminum bodies are actually harder because the peel apart and tear where steel crumples, piles up and has a harder time tearing. I've never forced stainless so I'd actually be curious to see how it would react to the being pushed.
We've cut a few aluminum cars open and not getting a full depth purchase into the door jam has it tearing very quick. The same can happen with sheet metal it just doesn't happen nearly as easily.

Rivian has aluminum bodywork, 4 motors, and a 10kWh larger battery. CT has a smaller battery and 3 motors. I'd hope it's lighter, but only by 60lbs? That stainless must weigh a good amount, though the few shots I've seen of people opening/closing the doors don't seem to indicate they are abnormally heavy.

I’ve not seen much vid of evs in snow, but what I’ve seen of them offroad, compared to a traditional 4WD they wheelspin like crazy. Seeing a Rivian at Moab made me wonder if they were going to get EVs banned for doing the opposite of ‘tread lightly’. I’m curious to see how Jeep tackles this when they full EV a Wrangler replacement, I’m expecting a means to engage/disengage a center diff/connection between front and rear axles, and the option to lock it up, though that’ll impact the efficiency and packaging.
If you are TRYING to spin the tires (turn off traction control and put it in Rally mode), then sure, all that HP/Torque will easily do so.
But if you just want traction, the EV's with independent motors for each wheel have a huge advantage being able to limit wheel spin as well as ABS limits wheel lock.
When I stopped on my driveway hill last winter in the truck on snow, then tried to go, it just silently creeped so smoothly up the hill no matter how much I buried the skinny pedal.

There were times my Highlander could do a similar stunt, dual motor with open diffs though and no amount of brake simulated diff locking could get it out of some scenarios that my jeep with worse tires laughs at. Not fully apples to apples with a four motor setup though so I’ll stand by on final judgement till I can play personally.
I'm kinda shocked this thing doesn't weigh a lot more than it does. It is essentially made of 1/8" thick steel panels, and steel is REALLY heavy. The entire car is essentially made of 1950's chrome bumper material.
Supposedly they save weight because it's a unibody rather than a "body on skateboard" design, but if there's no skateboard then what's protecting the batteries? The whole idea of the skateboard is that you need a lot of structure down there to protect the batteries anyway, may as well use what you've got and remove weight from the top of the car.
