No way to rust, body damage not really possible..I will definitely be interested in a used Cybertruck in something like 10 years. It will be the king of beater winter trucks.

It's just stainless panels bolted to a regular Tesla stamped steel frame, with large castings front and back. Plenty of rust opportunity, just can't see it.

Stainless can absolutely rust, it just resists it better than some steels. If Tesla cheaped out passivating the steel, or left any surface texture for things to embed into that'll speed up the process.

Ideally you want at least 48A. Cheaper lower power options are available, but it'll take longer for your car to charge. I have access to a couple of different brands at work. I'll take a look on Monday and see what price you should be paying.

We have a Grizzl-e charger (Canadian made) on a 30a circuit. It has been 100% trouble free for almost 3 years, 30a suits our needs for our 224 mile rage Mach-e. My brother in law got one for his Rivian, not sure which model or how many amps it's on, but trouble free for him as well.

I’m running a couple 60A circuits to the garage. For future needs but only need one for now. J1772 for the wife’s PHEV and any friends who visit with EVs.

People who have teslas will just need to make sure to have their adapters

You really need to do a load calc for that much current. Two 60A running full blast (96A minimum) would toast most panels.

In the house we are renting we the panel is in the garage and it had a couple of empty spots. I had an electrian come out run about 6 ft of wire to a dryer style plug, and i have the tesla mobile charger plugged in. works perfect

Everything else I looked at was over $500.

Also, stay away from ChargePoint. The things I have heard apply to their commercial chargers, but nothing I've heard has been positive.

Yes, the Tesla Wall Connector. Reasonably priced and works well with no trouble on nearly every EV. Super common to find on FB for a discount btw.

I have a F150 Lightning and a Tesla Model Y at home. I had planned to add a Ford Charge Station Pro when I got the truck, but the mounting options for that charger were limiting. I bought a second Tesla Wall Connector instead, and it fits on the same pedestal as my 1st one. The Ford needs to use an adapter with the Wall Connector, which I keep in the door pocket. The whole thing is pretty painless, except for the install cost, which was quite a bit of cash. My chargers are around 50' from the house on the side of the driveway. The cost to place these at distance runs up quickly.

Thanks. I'm not too worries about cheapest since the cheapest is around $200 and even the best seems to be $500. Not enough difference over the life to worry that difference.

Odd about Charge Point. The onine reviews say the Chargepoint Home Flex is always in the top 5 of recommended. But I'm sure they also pay the most to get on those lists.

I hadn't thought much about the Tesla Wall Connecter, but since they have the universal version... maybe that does make sense.
